An outstanding Spanish sparkling wine, one of the very best available on the market, Gramona Celler Batlle is made from 65% Xarel·lo and 35% Macabeo, two varieties with a great ageing potential.
Both are sourced from Finca La Plana, an organically and biodynamically farmed vineyard with sandy-clay soils situated in the Font Jui estate, recognized with the Paraje Calificado distinction. The area has a purely Mediterranean climate.
After a manual harvest, the grapes were meticulously selected and pressed whole bunch. Traditionally vinified, this Corpinnat sparkling wine of the Gramona winery was bottled after completing alcoholic fermentation. Then this organic sparkling wine from Penedès completed secondary fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 110 months.
Manually disgorged, Gramona Celler Batlle 2012 was finally added shipping liquor coming from a centenary solera, one of the Gramona family’s most treasured possessions.
The winner of several national and international awards, this Corpinnat sparkling wine is simply world-class.
Only 6,700 bottles produced.
