Crafted by star winemaker Raúl Pérez and the prestigious Galician oenologist Rodrigo Méndez, Goliardo Caiño belongs to the «Tintos de Mar» collection, which groups the red wines produced by bodega Forjas del Salnés.
Coming from DO Rías Baixas, this Spanish red wine is a varietal Caiño Tinto, a long-forgotten indigenous red variety that produces crisp wines with exceptional acidity and an unmistakable Atlantic character.
On top of that, the grapes come from vineyards located close to the sea. This fact gives this red wine from Rías Baixas a uniquely saline imprint.
After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, the grapes completed malolactic fermentation in 225-litre French oak barrels. After that, Goliardo Caiño 2018 was aged in the barrels for 12 months.
This is a truly special, internationally renowned Crianza red wine.
