Probably the best-known kosher red wine of bodega Celler de Capçanes – which began producing kosher wines in DO Montsant back in 1985 – Flor de Primavera Peraj Ha’Abib enjoys an excellent reputation among discerning wine aficionados.
All of the winemaking procedures performed during the making of this wine were carried out under the strict guidance and control of the Rabbinate Chabad Lubavitch Barcelona.
This blended Spanish red wine is made from Grenache, coming from three vineyards 50 to 70 years of age, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan. The vines have extremely low yields, and all of them are planted in terraces with clay-granitic soils at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation was completed in new and used kosher French oak barrels. Then this kosher-for-Passover red wine was aged for 12 months in those barrels.
Finally, Flor de Primavera Peraj Ha´Abib 2021 was gently filtered and further aged for 3 months in tanks prior to its bottling.
Decant this red wine from Montsant a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
Production around 7,500 bottles.
