Produced by the Remírez de Ganuza winery, one of the best exponents of the «New World» trend in La Rioja, Fincas de Ganuza Reserva is an exquisitely crafted Spanish red wine
Made from a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano, the 60-year-old vines were manually harvested and selected twice. Once in the cellar, the grapes were refrigerated for 24 hours and destemmed. During the process, the upper grapes – the only ones used to produced this reserva red wine – were separated from the lower ones.
After that, they were fermented in 7,000-litre French oak barrels and subsequently transferred into half new and half used, 70% French and 30% American oak barrels, where this Rioja red wine was aged for 24 months.
Finally, Fincas de Ganuza Reserva 2016 was blended and bottled in June 2018. After that, it was aged for a further 3 years in the bottle prior to its commercial release.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
