Made only from Bobal, a red variety native to the Valencia region with high acid and high tannin content, Finca Terrerazo is a one-of-a-kind Spanish red wine.
Produced by Bodega Mustiguillo, this Crianza red wine comes from vines planted between 1945 and 1970 at an altitude of 800 metres.
The unique personality of the terroir has gained the winery, a member of the Grandes Pagos de España association, the recognition of its own Designation of Origin, namely DOP El Terrerazo.
The grapes were harvested by hand and selected twice. Then each plot was separately vinified by winemaker Toni Sarrión.
This varietal red wine from DOP El Terrerazo was fermented in French wooden vats for 8 to 10 days, and then macerated for 10-12 days.
After that, Finca Terrerazo 2020 completed malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Then it was aged for 14 months in French oak vats and in 225-litre French oak barrels. It was not fined or stabilized before bottling.
We suggest that you decant this organic red wine at least 1 hour before drinking.
