Produced by Josep Grau Viticultor, Figuerals Garnatxa is a varietal Grenache wine from DO Montsant.
Sourced from low-yielding, organically farmed vineyards with limestone soils planted with vines around 40 years of age, this Spanish red wine is part of a collection of 5 single-vineyard wines which showcases the characteristics of different terroirs situated in Serra d’Almos, in the southern area of Montsant.
The grapes were selected three times before undergoing alcoholic fermentation. After that, Figuerals Garnatxa 2018 was aged in a 2,000-litre Stockinger Austrian oak vat for 14 months.
This varietal red wine from Montsant was not aged or clarified before its bottling.
It is important to decant this Crianza red wine at least 40 minutes before drinking.
Very limited production.
