Produced by Bodegas Aragonesas, Fagus is a varietal Grenache wine from DO Campo de Borja, Aragón
Interestingly, this Spanish red wine is produced from old vines, 40 to 50 years old, that yield 1 kilogram of fruit per plant at most.
Harvested at their optimal ripening state, the grapes were fermented and then macerated with the skins for over a period of three weeks. Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels. After that, this Crianza red wine was aged for a period of 10 months.
Finally, Fagus 2020 was aged for a further months in the cellar prior to its release.
A little-known jewel, this red wine from Campo de Borja should be aerated 1 hour before drinking.
