Produced by the Enate winery, Enate Syrah-Shiraz is a varietal Syrah from DO Somontano.
The grapes are sorted from two vineyards. Interestingly, each is planted with a different Syrah clone, one coming from France, the other from Australia.
Harvested by hand at their optimal ripening level, the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed. Then this Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Enate Syrah-Shiraz 2017 was aged for 16 months in new French and American oak barrels, in which it had previously completed malolactic fermentation.
