Crafted by Silvia Puig and wine grower Carlos Cubells through bodega En Números Vermells, Ms. Puig’s personal project, En Números Vermells Garnatxa Blanca is a very scarce, exquisite Spanish white wine from DOQ Priorat.
This single vineyard white wine from Priorat is produced from over 60-year-old White Grenache vines planted on steep slate slopes near the village of Poboleda, at 600 metres of altitude.
Hand-picked and carefully selected , the grapes were slowly fermented under controlled temperature in French oak barrels, clay vessels and wooden vats.
After completing the process, the white wine En Números Vermells Garnatxa Blanca 2021 was aged on lees in the same fermentation diposits for 5 months before being bottled.
Only 1,200 bottles produced.
Like most quality white wines, this white wine aged on lees is best served at a temperature slightly higher than usual (10-12ºC.)
