Produced by independent winemaker Sílvia Puig through bodega En Números Vermells, her personal project, En Números Vermells Clàssic is a confidential, small-production Spanish red wine from DOQ Priorat.
It is made from two strands of Grenache, namely Grenache and Hairy Grenache, some of which come from vines over 100 years old. This red wine from Priorat also has some old-vines Carignan and also Syrah, sourced from 15-year-old vines. The vineyards are located in Torroja del Priorat and Bellmunt del Priorat.
Hand-harvested and selected meticulously, the grapes were fermented in new and 2nd year French oak barrels and clay amphorae, after which they were macerated for 25 to 32 days.
Then the red wine En Números Vermells Clàssic 2020 was aged for 13 months in the barrels. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
A deep and nuanced Priorat, this Crianza red wine will greatly benefit from a prolonged aeration. Decant a minimum of 1 hour before serving.

| Nose | Though it has an unmistakable Priorat character, this blend of Grenache, Hairy Grenache, Carignan and Syrah is more about nuance than power. Forest berries and sour cherries wrapped in liquorice, tar and smoke, with hints of black pepper and a vibrant mineral undercurrent. |

| Palate | Still in the developing stage, this wine of bodega En Números Vermells has a phenomenal acidity, excellent definition and some dusty tannins. Lively mid palate, with a brooding minerality, a gently layer of spices, succulent black fruit and metallic tinge coming from the llicorella soils. Impressively long finish. |
