The entry-level Spanish red wine of the Mas Alta winery, Els Pics shows the most approachable side of the prestigious Priorat wine region.
It is made from 60% Grenache, 25% Carignan, 10% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, all coming from vines planted on slate and clayey-limestone soils.
Handpicked and carefully selected, the grapes were macerated and fermented in concrete tanks. Then Els Pics 2020 was aged for 12 months, the first 6 in the tanks, and the other 6 in new and 2nd year French oak barrels.
Aerate this Priorat red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
