This is the new vintage of El Senat del Montsant. It is produced by 7 Magnífics, the side project of a team of winemakers who work for the Torres winery.
The aim of the project is to produce wines with the most representative grapes of the best Catalan wine regions.
Made by winemaker Albert Llopart in DO Montsant, this Spanish red wine is a blend of Grenache, Samsó (Carignan), and Syrah.
The grapes were meticulously harvested and traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks. Then a 60% of this red wine from Montsant was aged for 8 months in 2n and 3rd year oak barrels.
After that, El Senat del Montsant 2021 was bottled and aged for a further months in the celler before being launched onto the market.
Aerate this Crianza red wine some time before drinking. Pair with meat recipes and casseroles.
