This is the new vintage of Eguren Ugarte Reserva, produced by the Eguren Ugarte winery.
Born in La Rioja, this Spanish red wine is made from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano. The vineyards are 30 to 50 years of age.
Once in the cellar, the grapes of this reserva red wine were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation was carried out 80% in tanks and 20% in barrels.
After that, Eguren Ugarte Reserva 2015 was aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels. Finally, it was further aged for 34 months in the cellar before its release, a key factor in order to further round and smooth the wine.
