This is one of the scarce Spanish white wines produced solely from Viognier. Edra Blancoluz is made from vines grown in the rugged land of Aragón.
Produced by Bodegas Edra, the grapes were meticulously harvested and cold-soaked before alcoholic fermentation.
Once both processes were completed, 6% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and was aged on its lees with periodic pump-overs. The rest of this white wine from Aragón was aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the two wines were blended, resulting in Edra Blancoluz 2022.
Pair with creamy cheeses and shrimp.
Since the Designation Vino de la Tierra Ribera del Gállego has not yet included Viognier in the list of approved varieties, this wine is sold under the label Vino de Mesa de la Tierra de Aragón.
