A varietal Albariño, Do Ferreiro is made from vines 10 to 50 years old. The respected winemaker Gerardo Méndez produces this Spanish white wine in the town of Meaño, DO Rías Baixas.
The vineyards are planted in soils composed of granite and sand. They have good drainage, a key feature in an area which receives abundant rainfall.
Harvested by hand, the grape bunches were destemmed and cold-macerated for 24 hours. Then this white wine from Rías Baixas and fermented for 24 days in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts.
After that, Do Ferreiro 2022 was aged on its lees for 7 months.
