The wine Conde Valdemar Gran Reserva bears witness to the winemaking tradition of Bodegas Valdemar, which goes back more than 125 years.
This Spanish red wine wine is produced by Bodegas Valdemar, a company that owns vineyards in some of the best areas across the three subzones of the DOCa Rioja.
This Gran Reserva red wine is made from a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Grenache, all of them coming from old vines.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks under temperature control.
Then this red wine from La Rioja underwent a long ageing process of 36 months in French oak barrels.
Finally, Conde Valdemar Gran Reserva 2011 was bottled and aged for some years in the bottle.

Combination of fruit and wood is completely harmonious, and both are nicely underpinned by remembrances of balsam, aromatic herbs ans toast. Everything fits perfectly, with no rough edges whatsoever. Long, complex finish with some bitter and balsamic remembrances. |
