The new vintage of Condado de Haza from Ribera del Duero proves again the remarkable consistency of this Spanish red wine over the years.
A brand of Grupo Pesquera, founded by the late Alejandro Fernández, the Condado de Haza winery has more than 200 hectares of Tempranillo, the sole component of this wine, around the province of Burgos. Planted at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, the vines are around 25 years of age.
The grapes were fully destemmed and macerated with the skins for some weeks. After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, this Crianza red wine was aged for 14 months in American oak barrels.
Prior to its commercial release, Condado de Haza Crianza 2020 was aged for a further 6 months in the bottle.
Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero 30 minutes before drinking.
