This seductive Spanish red wine from Priorat is mainly made from two international varieties, namely Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, coming from over 25-year-old grapevines. The blend is completed with small amounts old-vines Grenache, Carignan and Picapoll Negre.
Produced by Clos Dominic, Clos Dominic Vinyes Baixes is made from estate vineyards with decomposed slate (llicorella) soils in Finca La Tena, a scenic natural amphitheatre close to the town of Porrera.
Harvested by hand and traditionally vinified, this Priorat red wine was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
Prior to its bottling, this Crianza red wine was delicately filtered, and then aged for a further months in the cellar before its release.
We suggest that you decant Clos Dominic Vinyes Baixes 2019 for at least 30 minutes, so the wine can begin to unfold.
