The entry-level wine of Clos Dominic, a family-run winery located in Porrera, DOQ Priorat, Clos Petó is a phenomenal value.
Basically a blend of Grenache and Carignan, this Spanish red wine also includes a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. All come from vines grown in Priorat‘s trademark steep slate slopes.
The grapes were harvested by hand. After finishing alcoholic fermentation, this Spanish red wine was aged for 12 to 14 months in 225-litre French oak barrels.
Finally, Clos Petó 2019 was gently filtered before bottling.
Decant this Crianza red wine a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
Like all wines from Clos Dominic, this Priorat red wine has some serious ageing potential.
