Produced by Bodegas Cepa 21 in DO Ribera del Duero, Cepa 21 is a terroir-driven Spanish red wine which combines a modern winemaking approach with a deep respect for the traditions of the region.
This varietal Tempranillo is produced from estate-grown grapes coming from the highest vineyards of the winery. Situated in Castrillo de Duero, an area with a Contintental climate, the vineyards have clay-limestone soils, which have traditionally been considered the best suited to the Tempranillo variety.
Both the alcoholic and the malolactic fermentation of this red wine from Ribera del Duero were carried out in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
After that, Cepa 21 2020 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
