A varietal Albariño, Casa Monte Pío Ledes Alabriño is produced from vineyards situated in the vicinity of Ribadumia, a village in DO Rías Baixas. The vines grow in soils composed of sand and granite, in an area with a humid maritime climate.
The grapes were picked by hand and meticulously selected. Once in the facilities of bodega Casa Monte Pío, they were destemmed, gently pressed and macerated for 6 to 8 years. After that, this Spanish white wine was drawn-off by gravity and spontaneously fermented under controlled temperature.
Subsequently, the white wine Casa Monte Pío Ledes Albariño 2017 was aged on lees for 12 months with periodic stirrings.
This varietal white wine from Rías Baixas was fined before bottling.
Gentle and smooth, this white wine aged on lees will pair excellently with shrimp and creamy cheeses.
