Simply put, Camí Pesseroles is one of the best and most radical wines produced in Priorat. This Spanish red wine was exquisitely crafted by Sara & Josep Lluis Pérez, daughter and father, members of one the most respected wine families of the Priorat region.
An uncompromisingly terroir-oriented Crianza red wine, it was produced from three little plots of vines located on the old road from Gratallops to Porrera, the spiritual core of Priorat.
A blend of Grenache and Carignan, the vines are 100 years of age, and they are grown in a soil made of decomposed slate and clay.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were separately pre-macerated and then fermented together in chestnut barrels. After that, Camí Pesseroles 2018 of Mas Martinet Viticultors was aged for 20 months in chestnut barrels and demijohns.
Finally, this organic red wine was aged for a further months in the bottle before its commercial release.
Decant a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
Limited production.
