A bold expression of the Grenache variety, Breca comes from the rugged mountains of Calatayud, Aragón.
This varietal Spanish red wine is produced from old grapevines planted between 1925 and 1945 in very poor soils. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level, and they are subject to severe climatic conditions, with great temperature differences between daytime and nighttime.
Manually harvested, the grapes were selected at the vineyard and also in the facilities of Bodegas Breca, a branch of the Jorge Ordóñez group.
Then this red wine from Calatayud was fermented and macerated for 12 days in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Breca 2019 was aged in French oak barrels for 15 months. It was bottled unfined.
We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine a minimum of 30 minutes before you drink it.
