This, of course, is James Bond’s favourite Champagne.
Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut is one of the winery’s great classics. Created in 1911 by Georges Bollinger, this sparkling wine is made from an exquisite, ultra-sophisticated blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, 80% of which come from Premier and Grand Cru plots located in the very heart of the Champagne region.
In addition to that, the wine is added a small amount of reserve wine (5-10%) to ensure the homogeneity of the product. Coming from specific vineyards, this reserve wines are separately aged in magnum bottles.
After a minimum ageing period of 36 months, Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut was disgorged, added 7-9 grams of sugar per litre of Champagne and aged for a further 3 months before its commercial release onto the market.
