This the new vintage of Bàrbara Forés El Templari. Once again, this Spanish red wine from Terra Alta is a varietal Morenillo.
Perfectly adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of Terra Alta, Morenillo is an indigenous red variety which produces aromatic wines with a supple body, light colour, moderate alcohol content and a very good acidity. Organically farmed, the grapes used to produce this wine of Celler Bàrbara Forés come from a single vineyard with clayey soils, called Umbría de Tomaset.
The grapes were picked by hand in the third week of September. Once in the facilities, this red wine from Terra Alta was macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts.
After that, Bàrbara Forés El Templari 2020 was aged for 8 months in clay vessels. Bottled in July 2021, it was aged for some months before being released onto the market.
Production of this «Vi Vermell» totalized only 7,313 bottles.
