Made from 90% Viura and 10% Malvasía, Baigorri Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is the only white wine of Bodegas Baigorri.
All of the grapes used in this Spanish white wine from La Rioja were fully destemmed and carefully selected.
After that, they were macerated for a few hours, gently pressed and clarified before going through fermentation.
As its name suggests, this white wine from La Rioja was then fermented in oak barrels. Both alcoholic fermentation and the subsequent ageing process took place in new French oak barrels. The process lasted 8 months, with regular stirrings of the lees.
After that Baigorri Blanco Fermentado en Barrica 2018 was bottled and kept in the cellar for some months.
Pair this Crianza white wine with white meat, medium-aged cheeses and oily fish recipes.
