A varietal Mencía, Altos de Losada comes from El Bierzo, one of Spain’s hottest wine regions.
Classified as «Vino de Pueblo» (Village wine) since 2018, this Spanish red wine of Bodegas Losada Vinos de Finca is sourced from old vineyards planted on clayey hills with different sun orientations. They are located near the village of Valtuille de Arriba, an area with a continental climate.
After a careful harvest, each parcel was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Altos de Losada 2020 was aged for 15 months in concrete eggs, French oak vats and French oak barrels.
This red wine from El Bierzo was gently clarified, but not filtered, before bottling
