This substantial Spanish red wine is crafted by the Costers del Sió winery from 6 different plots of vines scattered across the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, in DO Costers del Segre.
The 2018 vintage of Alto Siós is made from a blend of, in order of prominence, Syrah, Tempranillo and Grenache.
The grapes were meticulously harvested, destemmed and selected in the cellar. Separately vinified, after a cold-maceration this red wine from Costers del Segre was fermented in stainless steel tanks, with frequent pump-overs and punch-downs.
Finally, Alto Siós 2020 was transferred into oak barrels of different origins, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months.
Production around 15,000 bottles.

| Palate | Gentle, well-balanced and sustained by a tight acidity. This wine from Costers del Sió carries a respectable amount of black fruit, some bitter notes and some spicy touches. Tannins are nicely rounded, and the aftertaste is long and slightly toasted. |
