A varietal Grenache wine crafted by world-class Australian oenologist Chris Ringland of Barossa Valley fame, Alto Moncayo Veraton is born in the mountainous region of Campo de Borja, in the northern Spanish province of Aragón.
Produced by the Alto Moncayo winery, this varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from 30 to 60-year-old vineyards situated on the hills of the Moncayo mountains. Soils are rocky and extremely poor, while climate is quite extreme.
Harvested by hand, the grapes of this Crianza red wine were carefully selected and vinified. Malolactic fermentation and the subsequent 16-month ageing period took place in new American and French oak barrels.
Not filtered prior to bottling, Alto Moncayo Veraton 2019 should be decanted 1 hour before drinking.
This red wine from Campo de Borja will evolve beautifully over the next years.
