Produced by Adega Algueira, Algueira Finca Cortezada is a single vineyard Spanish white wine made from a blend of Godello, Albariño and Treixadura.
The grapes were sourced from Finca Cortezada, a south-west oriented vineyard with gneiss, quartz and slate soils located on the vertiginous slopes of the Sil river, in the heart of DO Ribeira Sacra.
Picked by hand and fully destemmed, the grapes underwent a cold-maceration pre-fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Then they were spontaneously fermented at a constant temperature of 13ºC in the tanks.
After that, Algueira Finca Cortezada 2021 was aged for 6 months without the lees.
Finally, this Galician white wine was bottled and aged for a further months before hitting the market.
Vibrant and intense, this white wine from Ribeira Sacra will pair nicely with shrimp, baked fish recipes and creamy cheeses. It is also excellent as an aperitif.
