Made from over 70-year-old Albariño vineyards by the Palacio de Fefiñanes winery, the oldest Albariño producer in Galicia, Albariño de Fefiñanes comes from DO Rías Baixas, the cradle of the variety.
The harvest of this Spanish white wine began in the second half of September. After a meticulous selection, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked for 12 hours to extract colour and flavour. Then the grapes were gently crushed and the grape juice was fermented for 20 days at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Before its bottling, Albariño de Fefiñanes 2022 was aged on its lees for 3 months to give it roundness and mellowness.
This varietal young white wine is a very fine example of one of Spain’s most celebrated native varieties.
