Produced by Acústic Celler, Acústic Blanc takes the word «indigenous» to the next level.
Indeed, this Spanish white wine crafted by winemaker Albert Jané is made from a blend of 93% White Grenache, 5% Macabeo, 1% Grey Grenache («Garnatxa Roja») and 1% Pansal (a.k.a Xarel·lo). The grapes come from 40 to 80-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of DO Montsant.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were cold-macerated for 48 hours prior to fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks (70% of the wine must), and in new French oak barrels, where the wine was then aged for 8 months on lees. Finally, Acústic Blanc 2021 was blended and bottled.
Aerate this white wine from Montsant 30 minutes before drinking.
