This is the new vintage of Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial, arguably the best-known Spanish red wine of the Abadía Retuerta winery.
The 2018 vintage is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Grenache, coming from estate-owned vineyards located in Sardón de Duero, DO Castilla y León.
After a pre-fermentation cold-maceration, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks. After completing malolactic fermentation, Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2018 was transferred into French and American oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
We recommend that you decant this red wine from Castilla y León a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
